Energize the Adrenals and ease FEAR and Anxiety
When was the last time you were aware of the two small glands that sit on the top of each kidney?
Well, if they are doing their job properly, then you probably never really have to think about them.
However, if you experience long periods of stress, this could lead to what some call ‘adrenal fatigue’. The good news is that we can energize the adrenals with this simple Jin Shin Jyutsu hold.
Watch the video where I show you the self help hold:
The stress-buster: Cortisol
Your adrenals make a stress-busting hormone called cortisol, which is released into the bloodstream. Some surmise that when we are exposed to stress over long periods, it can drain the adrenals. Then they can’t produce enough cortisol. This state of depletion can cause brain fog, fatigue, depression, insomnia, anxiety, and a whole lot of other symptoms.
I always like to use the analogy of the pressure cooker. If we don’t take the top off, the pressure builds up inside until it explodes (ok, I know that’s a bit dramatic, but you get the picture). If we ‘take the top off’, we ease the pressure. We can do this really easily with this Jin Shin Jyutsu exercise.
Energize the adrenals
We have 26 energy sites on the body called Safety Energy Locks (SELs). Each one has specific functions to help us harmonize on a mental, emotional, physical and spiritual level.
Safety Energy Lock 23 is located on the small of the back, where the adrenals are. So when you place your left hand on the left back and the right hand on the right back you energize and release tension in the adrenal function.
Also to Ease FEAR and Anxiety
This simple Jin Shin Jyutsu self help hold also eases FEAR and anxiety. SEL 23 lives in the fourth depth, and the fourth depth is related to the attitude of FEAR. Fourth depth is all about FLOW. FEAR is the biggest impediment to FLOW. Use this hold to relax the body, calm the mind and ease FEAR. Use it to be in your FLOW. So easy!
