Jin Shin Jyutsu Exercises to Ease Bloating
There are many reasons why our abdomen might feel like a balloon that’s been blown up. So this is a Jin Shin Jyutsu exercise to ease bloating.
Usually, if there are no other symptoms then it can be related to the foods you consume: if you like to eat wheat, onions (especially raw), garlic, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, artichokes, and beans, for instance, then there is a possibility of discomfort. Too much food at once also overloads the digestive system and can cause gas.
Persistent symptoms should, of course, be checked, as they could be the sign of food allergies. In my experience, a process of eliminating culprit foods is very helpful.
Apart from having a look at the diet, there are also lots of Jin Shin Jyutsu exercises to help with bloating:
Hold the insides of the knees (at the bend)
You can cross your arms; place right fingers on inside of left knee at the bend and place left fingers on inside of right knee. You can also practice this without crossing your hands so that right fingers are on right inside of knee and left fingers are on left inside of knee. Feel which way works best for you! Hold the groins
This is a nice exercise to practice when lying down or when you’re ready for sleep. Simply place your left fingers on the left groin and the right fingers on the right groin. In this case, we are working with Safety Energy Locks 15.
Hold either wrist
Lightly wrap your right hand over the top of the left wrist so that the fingers rest on the outside (little finger side). Reverse the hands for the right side, so wrap your left hand over the right wrist. Hold for a few minutes. Here we are working with Safety Energy Lock 17.
