Flows For Life My Jin Shin Jyutsu Story Digestion

Jin Shin Jyutsu for digestive problems

Even after many years of practicing Jin Shin Jyutsu on myself and others, I am still in awe of how some simple self-help holds can have such amazing results in a relatively – and sometimes extraordinarily – short time. This Jin Shin Jyutsu hold for digestion is no exception, and a personal story I once received from a friend and fellow Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner is a wonderful testimonial.

A personal experience with Jin Shin Jyutsu

This story began when my friend first heard about this Universal Art of harmonising the life energy in the body through a colleague who had attended a Self-Help introductory workshop in London.

He wrote:

“I have been a homeopath since the mid-1980s. I first came across Jin Shin Jyutsu while studying the Homeopathic Tissue Salts with a colleague. She attended a workshop that same weekend and came back full of excitement.

A few months later, I began my own journey with Jin Shin Jyutsu. I studied The Touch of Healing by Alice Burmeister and then attended my first of several 5-Day training seminars in 2010.”

From discomfort to ease in minutes

“My first really great result using Jin Shin Jyutsu came while visiting friends abroad. The first evening we arrived, they spoiled us with a feast! They had rich foods like cheeses, pâté, and wine, none of which we were really used to consuming.

By bedtime I suddenly realised that the meal was sitting like a stone in my stomach. I thought to myself, ‘Never going to get to sleep.’

Luckily I remembered that holding both my elbows could relieve digestive problems.

Sure enough, and without any exaggeration, within 5 minutes of starting to hold my elbows I felt relief. I went to sleep, slept soundly, and woke up refreshed and feeling great!”

Jin Shin Jyutsu to help with Digestion

To practice this exercise:

Cross the arms.

It doesn’t matter which arm is above the other – cross them the way that is most comfortable for you.

Then place the right fingers on the crease of the left elbow and place the left fingers on the crease of the right elbow. You can also just hold the elbows from the bottom if that’s more comfortable for you. Relax the hands. Hold until there is relief.

Apart from clearing the waist line, this Jin Shin Jyutsu self-help hold also helps with: chest (lungs and breasts) congestion, as well as back and hip tension and discomforts in the feet.
