We can create positive change, within and without, individually and collectively. Practice in the comfort of your own home at 8 am and/or 8 pm your time.

Choosing the Date

I was inspired to organize a Global Event on June 6. When I looked at the simple numerology of this day I realized:

6 + 6 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 0 = 16

Knowing what I know about the number sixteen, I thought: “Perfect!”

SEL 16: TRANSFORMATION

In terms of Jin Shin Jyutsu, each of our 26 Safety Energy Locks “have their own inner meaning and purpose”. ‘Energy site’ number 16 as Mary Burmeister explains, “came into the universe meaning the basis of all human activities – breaking down of existing forms for new ones.” In essence, this is transformation.

When we ‘recharge’ by placing our hands on them, we help the skeleton, the muscles, the reproductive functions, elimination. The 16s are also a great help for clearing the head and neck. I use them a lot for headaches and migraines.

Location of the 16s

The 16s are located on the outside (lateral) side of the heel bone (calcaneus) under the ankle. Left 16 is on the left foot and right 16 is on the right foot. 

Self Help Exercises for Transformation

There are many ways to recharge our SEL 16s. For the purpose of the Jin Shin Jyutsu Global Event for Transformation, I have chosen these simple exercises.

Exercise

You will need to bring your leg up for the first two positions. I like to sit comfortably, then I place my right leg over my left knee for the right side.

Place left fingers on right outside of heel (SEL 16)
Place right fingers on right inside of heel (SEL 5)
Hold for 5-10 minutes, then

Keep left fingers on right outside of heel (SEL 16)
Place right hand (palm up against the body) on right sit bone (SEL 25)
Hold for 5-10 minutes, then

Flows For Life Exercise 2

Keep right hand on right sit bone
Place left hand over right shoulder (SEL 11)
Hold for 5-10 minutes

Flows For Life Exercise 3

Left side
Place left fingers on left outside of heel (SEL 16)
Place right fingers on left inside of heel (SEL 5)
Hold for 5-10 minutes, then

Place right fingers on left outside of heel (SEL 16)
Place left hand (palm up against the body) on left sit bone (SEL 25)
Hold for 5-10 minutes, then

Keep left hand on left sit bone
Place right hand over left shoulder (SEL 11)
Hold for 5-10 minutes

Total practice time: 30-60 minutes

You can do this exercise at any time, not only during the global event!
