Astrid Kauffmann, Jin Shin Jyutsu Practitioner and Self Help Teacher since 2001

You’ve found Jin Shin Jyutsu. Now what?

When you first hear about this Art of harmonizing it can be unclear what the learning process is or what Jin Shin Jyutsu courses are available. So below I have outlined various possibilities so you can establish what your next step is on your Jin Shin Jyutsu Journey.

We all have a Jin Shin Jyutsu story

My own story started over 20 years ago when I discovered some simple Jin Shin Jyutsu holds to manage and eliminate my migraines.

First things first

First of all, I highly recommend this book: The Touch of Healing by Alice Burmeister. This is my go to reference.

In 2007 when there was no information online, I started posting some of my Jin Shin Jyutsu experiences in a blog. Now, 14 years later, you’ll find nearly 300 posts on FlowsForLife.com.

Indeed, over the last 14 years I have endeavoured to share useful, clear to follow information online so that anyone in the world can be introduced to Jin Shin Jyutsu and start using it as self help.

Here is an A-Z Index of everyday ailments which you can easily access.

During the lockdown in 2020 I had the time (and inspiration!) to create some guided practice hours and workbooks based on various themes.

A great place to start online

I suggest that a great place to start is my online self paced Hands-on Self Help Mini eCourse which covers some of the basic concepts, and gives you lots of exercises to work with.

Jin Shin Jyutsu Online Courses

If you’re eager to learn more, then one of your next options is to attend the courses based on Mary Burmeister’s Self Help Books 1, 2, and 3.

I have taught the Self Help Classes offline since 2001 and in August 2020 started offering these as regular online courses, which I teach LIVE.

What my students are saying about my online courses

“Jin Shin Jyutsu is a powerful, yet simple and elegant self-care practice of healing. Astrid is an amazing teacher, and I highly recommend taking advantage of the opportunity to learn from her.”

Astrid’s Skills for Life Online Course was a wonderful experience. She is a treasure-trove of information on JSJ and yet is able to present it in a simple, systematic manner that beginners need!
