Jin Shin Jyutsu Self Help to Release Back Tension

A quick self help hold

A while back, I was standing on a platform waiting for a train.

All of a sudden, my back started feeling very uncomfortable. Actually, it hurt.

So I thought, ok, I’m sure there’s some Jin Shin Jyutsu self help to release back tension.

There must be a quick self help hold, I thought

My instinct told me to go to the following exercise ‘Emotional Upset‘ which I have talked a lot about in previous posts.

This time though, it really melted the tension in my back in no time.

Sizzle, sizzle – shazam!

It was great fun to experience it: While I stood, I crossed my arms, wrapped my hands around the upper arms and held. Quite quickly (within seconds to minutes), I felt a warm ‘sizzling’ sensation up and down my back – it was a good feeling. Then it went and with it my back tension. I stood there feeling a bit shocked at what had just happened – not quite believing it.

Nearly missed my train too!

Another simple self help hold to release the back

The other self help hold to ease back tension is really simple: just hold your index finger. What?!? I hear you say. Well, holding the index finger harmonises the energy function that relates to the muscles in the body. So when we have tense muscles, we can hold the index finger and that will help relax the muscles in the back, and indeed, the muscles in the whole body.

No need to press, pull or massage the finger – just wrap your right hand around the left index finger, hold and relax the hands. By holding it, you will be harmonising all 14,400 energy functions relating to that finger. Including the muscles. Of course, you can also hold the right index finger.

For best results, hold either index finger at the first sign of a sore back. Hold until there is relief.
