Jin Shin Jyutsu for Pins and Needles

Pins and Needles

Question:

I wonder if you can help me. Every morning for the last few weeks I have woken up with pins and needles in my shoulders and arms. I have a friend who has been on one of the 5-day seminars, but I haven’t.

Is there anything she can do to help me, and is there anything simple I can do for myself to relieve this.

Recently I have also started sweating quite a lot at night.

I like your Jin Shin Jyutsu blog and I would be grateful for your answer.

Answer:

Yes, there is help available!

In Jin Shin Jyutsu Book 2, on page 36, Mary explains that when ‘descending energy intermingles and reverses, the kidney function energy separates and overflows, causing face, arms and shoulders to feel as though pricked by needles’.

So the flows that are helpful are ‘DIAPHRAGM’ and ‘KIDNEY’. Diaphragm helps clear the waistline so that the energy can move down.

My Jin Shin Jyutsu self help for the diaphragm is: left hand on Right SEL 14 and right hand on Left SEL 19.

In layman’s terms – left hand on the last rib on the right and right hand on the left elbow.

Quickie self help for kidney is to hold the index finger (either one).

Night sweats are helped by using the Lung function energy and/or umbilicus function energy. Easy self help is to hold the ring finger (2nd depth).
