Jin Shin Jyutsu Little Fingers and Big Toes

Ever hold your little fingers? You might be surprised at how good it makes you feel. So easy and effective you can do this exercise any time of the day – works while you sleep too!

In energy speak, little fingers and big toes are great harmonisers for the whole being.

Holding Little Fingers and Big Toes helps with so many issues including: ‘heart discomforts, heart palpitations, and chest congestion. It also helps clear the vascular, nervous, muscular and skeletal energy circulatory systems. Helps clear head discomforts and bloat problems including swollen ankles.’

You can do the exercises below at any time as self help. A few minutes each day is a good place to start, or until you feel relief from symptoms.Remember that the effect of holding often is cumulative, so the more you hold, the quicker the positive effects.

Holding little finger also helps dissipate a sore throat, so at the first sign of it, hold either little finger. Quick self help hold for heart palpitations and heart discomforts: hold left little finger.

So the Exercises:
Hold LEFT LITTLE FINGER with Right Hand then, after a few minutes,
Hold the BIG TOES (hold left big toe with left hand, and hold right big toe with right hand) then, after a few minutes,
Hold RIGHT LITTLE FINGER with Left Hand then, after a few minutes
Hold the BIG TOES again (hold left big toe with left hand, and hold right big toe with right hand).

Note: if you find it difficult to hold your big toes, then you can use this variation: after holding little finger, place your hands in your groins (left hand on left groin and right hand on right groin – (‘the 15s’ they wash our hearts with laughter).

Q&A: Jin Shin Jyutsu to Open the Throat

Question: Hi Astrid – We have the book of Alice Burmeister ‘The Touch of Healing’. We also attended an introduction morning for JSJ. My wife has a particular problem with her esophagus, sometimes her food just does not go down. She has to lay down on the floor for some time to get things back to normal. Is there any flow and/or SEL that you can recommend to ease this problem? – from NZ

Answer: In a situation like this – ACUTE situation that is, I would immediately go for the EMERGENCY hold (choking, breathing difficulties, nausea, vomiting, sudden malaise) which is to place the hands on the inside of the knees (SEL 1). Can be with arms crossed or not – I personally like crossing my arms.  The ones are to be used in this kind of emergency because they MOVE THE ENERGY DOWN. Also helpful for this situation is to cross the arms and place the hands on the upper arms (SEL high 19s). This also opens up the energy sites on the back (9 and 10) and clears the chest area, as well as helping the digestive system. And finally, another helpful energy site is on the neck. Place the right hand on the right side of the neck next to the spine and the left hand on the left side of the neck next to the spine (SEL 12) – I had something stuck in my throat the other day and I found that it worked a treat!

For longterm ‘work’ on this ‘project’, there are many possible flows, but I would suggest The Jin Shin Jyutsu Trinity exercises, see these older posts on my blog for The Trinity Flows: Main Central, Left and Right Supervisors and Mediator (Crossing Energies)

Comment: Immune Boosting Hold WORKS!

Comment: This spring I’ve been getting every cold there is, and it felt like I’ve been constantly sick. So when my live-in boyfriend got a really bad cold, I was just counting down the days till I got it, too. I decided to try this JSJ hold, and it felt really good and relaxing to do. And I could not believe it but I actually did not catch this cold! Of course, it could be a coincidence, but I’ll be trying this next time I’m starting to feel a cold coming on! 🙂 – Anne

Thanks Anne for your comment, and I’m glad you experienced the power of this Immune Boosting Jin Shin Jyutsu Hold. In my experience, it’s not a coincidence: it works EVERYTIME, and most effectively at the first symptoms of a cold or a sore throat.

So the Immune Boosting Hold again here: Place your left hand over your right shoulder (so that your fingers are over SEL11 and SEL 3) and place your right hand on your right groin (SEL 15). Vice versa for the other side. Hold for a few minutes, or at least 20-30 minutes at a time. If you have a sore throat, this will clear it in minutes. Hold the side of the sore throat. Sometimes, my sore throats clears up in SECONDS with this powerful Jin Shin Jyutsu Hold. Original Post Immune Boosting Hold
