Self Help For Healthy Digestion

I have had a lot of questions lately about how Jin Shin Jyutsu can help alleviate projects like Colitis Ulcerosa, IBS, Crohn’s etc. I am investigating all of these and also the issue of parasites in the intestines, as these are the cause of many ailments and discomforts, including fatigue, allergies, skin rashes, inflammation, bloating, cramps, weight loss and general malaise (they sap the body of nutrients – i.e. minerals and vitamins).

So. The great news is that the self help holds in Jin Shin Jyutsu are hugely helpful with all of these conditions. Stay tuned for more posts soon with more detail on how to have a healthy digestion using Jin Shin Jyutsu and other methods.

Self Help for Health and Wellbeing with Jin Shin Jyutsu

I have studied and practised Jin Shin Jyutsu for the last ten years, and my passion for this ART has strengthened and deepened. I say: ‘The secret to your health, happiness and longevity lies in KNOWING where to place your hands on the body’.

The ancient Japanese Art of Jin Shin Jyutsu is often described as ‘Acupuncture with the fingers’, but it involves no manipulation, pressure or massage so it is safe for every body from ages 0 to 100! Jin Shin Jyutsu harmonises and balances the life energy in the body by placing the fingers and hands (over clothing) on specific ‘energy sites’ called Safety Energy Locks (there are 26 on either side of the body) to alleviate symptoms of disharmony.

It is a gentle, yet powerful tool for health and well-being. Although the study and understanding of Jin Shin Jyutsu can take a lifetime, the self-help exercises are simple to learn and have immediate benefits. My role as a practitioner of Jin Shin Jyutsu is to introduce this ART and thereby awaken the awareness of what each and every one of us has at our disposal – ready to be used and enjoyed!

Self Help for Pain: Fast Relief with JSJ Hold

Pain anywhere in the body colours your day very differently from when you are pain-free. A headache, toothache, ear ache, back pain, knee pain, nerve pain, ANY PAIN, can be alleviated with the Jin Shin Jyutsu hold for pain relief. It is as powerful as morphine. Obviously, continuous pain that won’t go away needs to be checked by a physician, but while you wait for them to treat you, there is something empowering that YOU can do for YOURSELF.

See this older post called First Aid for Pain Relief for the exercise.

Jin Shin Jyutsu Case 6: Self Help for Women – PMS

PMS (Pre – and Post! – Menstrual Syndrome) – A sudden cramping in the pelvis is very uncomfortable and painful to say the least. I discovered this amazing Jin Shin Jyutsu hold one day when I was driving and a sudden cramp came on as I stopped at a red light.

It’s actually the last hold of the MCV (Main Central Vertical): Left hand goes just above the pubic bone (front of body) and right hand goes on the coccyx (back of body) – see an older post on this blog for the full MCV flow. This hold moves the stuck energy through that area with absolutely immediate results: by the time the light turned green the cramp had gone, and it has never come back like that.

This hold is also good for heavy legs, poor circulation, cold feet and legs that ‘jump’.

Jin Shin Jyutsu is an ancient Japanese healing art. Easy to learn self help, easy and safe to use for every body from ages 0-100+. The Magic is in your hands.

Self Help for Coughing with Jin Shin Jyutsu hold

When I see someone coughing uncontrollably, I tell them to grab their upper arms.

Holding the high 19s as they are called helps to clear the bustline, waistline and back. It also alleviates coughing. Hold the high 19s if you are a singer or if you need to use your voice.

I wish I would have known about the high 19s when I worked in radio. I would have an early morning shift and my voice would be croaky – had I held my high 19s, my voice would have been smooth as silk! Great for singers.

Self Help for Tinnitus with simple JSJ Hold

That maddening sound inside the ear – like a buzzing noise – is called tinnitus and it can drive one crazy. I find it is made worse when I am tired, or when I’ve been on the phone quite a lot (mobile phones are even worse!).

Most Jin Shin Jyutsu holds or flows will help to calm the noise. However, I find that holding the ring finger is quite simple and effective way to radically subdue the tinnitus, especially just before sleep.
