One night in winter, I felt that the backs of my legs were burning and I couldn’t understand why. I realised that I’d sat down somewhere very cold and my skin was burnt by frostbite! It was really quite sore – so I decided to go to bed and do this hold. I fell asleep in this position, and the next morning there was no sign of any discomfort or discolouration of the skin.
I also used this hold recently when an angry red blotch developed on my face. I was quite alarmed, because having lived in the tropics, my skin has endured quite a lot of sun over the years. I was quite sure that I would have to have it burnt off.
So I dutifully asked for an appointment with the dermatologist, which was given to me about 6 weeks hence! I decided I wasn’t going to wait that long to start working on it, so I did the hold below for a couple of nights in front of the TV and WOW it was so much better I could hardly see any more redness!
Whenever you need to clear the skin surface then do this Jin Shin Jyutsu self help hold for the skin:
Place your right fingers on the left center of your foot (as shown in the photo)
Grab your left little toe with left fingers/hand
Hold for a minimum of 20 minutes or more.
Anything to do with the skin surface, this hold will help with, including rashes and itchiness of the skin. This hold is really versatile as it also helps clear smelly feet, it strengthens the hair and helps regulate body temperature (so if I feel cold I do this hold – it warms up the body!).

You´ll need to cross your arms for this.
Place the palm of your right hand with fingers facing down on your left calf
Place the palm of your left hand with your fingers facing down on your right calf
Hold for at least twenty minutes. (for a facelift, do this 20 minutes every day for at least two weeks)
