So many people live with chronic back pain, which is the possible EFFECT of many CAUSES. On a physical level, you need to look at hydration. Most back pain is caused by years of chronic de-hydration. So slowly incorporate at least 2 liters of water daily into your diet. Also, tension over time plays a big role &#8211; PILATES is a wonderful way to strengthen muscles and keep the body supple and fit. A trained PILATES instructor can teach you the exercises &#8211; then I know that a little bit every day goes a long way. Jin Shin Jyutsu also helps to release the tensions along the spine. At the same time, it helps to re-align the spine (2 FLOW &#8211; SEL 2 is your own personal chiropractor). Since your condition is chronic, I think the best thing would be to find a Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner in your area: have some sessions, and he/she can advise you on some JSJ holds in between treatments.
